Architectural visualization
Architectural visualization tells the story of a project in pictures before it is built. Someone who cannot read technical drawings can still look at a good image and immediately grasp the building’s scale, materials, light and relationship to its surroundings. The field brings together modelling, materials, lighting, camera work and post-production.
What it includes
- Exterior and interior renders
- Architectural animations and drone-style camera moves
- 360-degree panoramas and virtual tours
- Photomontages on real site photographs
- Virtual and augmented reality experiences
Who it is for
For a developer it is the shop window for off-plan sales. For an architect it is a way to test design decisions and present them to a client. It explains ideas in competitions and planning presentations, and in interior work it settles questions of material and colour. Good visualization is accurate as well as attractive. When dimensions, materials and sun position match the project, the image becomes a reliable preview rather than a promise.
